Here’s today’s strong teacher reflection.

Successes/Stories

  • Some of my former students performed well in the high school musical.
  • I had a great time eating lunch with my crew/homeroom today.
  • Recorded another episode of the Why Edify Podcast
  • I almost finished grading the work in the “late” bin.
  • Sent out today’s STRONG Teacher Newsletter.

Thoughts and Takeaways

  • Working out with other people can be pretty enjoyable, and it helps to rely on others when motivation is low.
  • I’m impressed with the courage performers show. Today, there was an audience of at least 600 students.
  • Words are powerful, especially the nice ones.
  • It’s amazing how much extra sunlight lifts my spirit.

Recovery and Renewal

  • Took some of my colleagues on a ruck today. There were six of us.
  • I started to practice STOP, BREATHE, BE moments in my day.

Optimize (quote, affirmation, intentions)

  • I intend to be consistent with my trips to the weight room.
  • “A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition.” - William Arthur Ward

Next Actions

  • Finish grading late work tomorrow.
  • Prepare for a Camp Jorn board meeting.
  • Clean the desk in my office.

Gratitude

  • Rain and melting snow.
  • Field Trips.
  • Being able to ruck in place of a staff meeting
