Intermittent fasting minimum of four days per week
- I achieved this goal, but it didn't have the impact I hoped for. I'm unsure if it's the right eating style for me. I'm returning to regular meal intervals while maintaining the Mediterranean eating style.
Weigh in under 200 pounds.
- Holding steady, but still have a long way to go.
600 exercise minutes per month
- I was sure this would be the first month I missed this goal in a long time. I just made it with 612 exercise minutes. I logged six cycling sessions, went for six walks, three regular lifting sessions, and one run/walk. I've been having the toughest time with motivation right after school.
Meditate a minimum of four days per week
- It was a rough month. Out of all of my goals, this one is proving to be the most challenging. I managed nine meditations in all. I keep telling myself that it is better than nothing.
Complete and document at least three thirty-day challenges
- I have completed one for this year. Time to plan the next one.
Read two education books and write a book summary for each
- I’m reading Onward: Cultivating Emotional Resilience in Educators by Elena Aguilar.
Read two personal development books and write a book summary for each
- I’m reading Atomic Habits by James Clear with the rest of my colleagues at school for professional development. I can see why this book is so popular. It is easy to understand and contains some simple tips that can create a big impact.
Publish two podcasts per month
- I published three podcasts this past month. You can listen to them here.
Publish two YouTube videos each month
- It was a big month with eight videos. Some videos were for students, and the others were video versions of the podcast episodes. I started using a new tool called Descript. It's been fun trying to figure out how all the features work.
Send out my newsletter each Friday
- Done. The streak is still alive. Explore the archive.
Write at least one guest article for another blog or publication.
- No Progress
Complete the Door County Ride - at least the 70 Mile Ride
- I am now signed up. Let the training begin.
